I have a Allis Chalmers 416s tractor and I m thinking about swapping out the 16hp for a 26 or 28 hp Onan engine. Can I do this without any problems to the BGB or rearend? The BGB and rearend,bearings and all check out fine. Any information on this will be appreciated. Also,my son has a 1974 Allis Chalmers 710,some where down the line someone put a Kohler 12hp K301 engine on it,we were looking at it the other day and noticed water comming from the oil sump(pan)it has two cracks in it can these be fixed or will we have to buy a new one? The cracks are about 5 to 6 inches long on the long sides and it s a cast iron peice. Any Info will be appreciated.
