Engine-Trans Bolts

Hello! I recently took a sickle bar handle/bracket off the right side of my '47 2N. It was attached by three bolts between the Engine/Trans and two between the Trans/Diff. There is a bolt on the right side of the Engine/Trans that has exposed threads. Should this have a nut on it, or is the housing threaded? Thanks!

Housing is not threaded. Put a nut on it. Standard bolts from the factory were 7/16" NF (fine thread) and just long enough to accomodate a nut plus maybe a thread or two.

I lots of used OEM engine to trans bolts and nuts.

Thanks, as you know a lot of them thread into the engine, so I didn't know if those with exposed threads did the same. Would you know if the bolts and/or nuts are the same for the Trans to Diff? They appear to be. Thanks!
