Couldn't find much information on the Enorossi Batrake when I was looking at buying a better V-rake last fall.
Said if I bought one, I'd give my thoughts on it, here they are.
It was a few thousand less $$$$ than a major name brand, and looked very similar. So I bought a 10 wheel with a kicker.
My first cut is 90 acres-ish, and the rake has done a fine job for me. It's a higher clearance design, thick hay does a much better job of flowing through without wadding up than my old Frontier 10 wheel. FWIW, my hay is mostly fescue with a bit of clover, some timothy, nothing fancy.
It did wad it up twice in the 90 acres in VERY thick hay that was probably not as cured as it should have been.
I was still playing with it at the time to see what it would do, and was running with all 10 wheels down.
Which brings up the ability to run with just 8 or fewer wheels. Since all the wheels are independent, it's easy to pin up the front wheels so you aren't raking as much volume per pass. Never had a wad while running 8 wheels. Do need to put the outside wheel down around the edge of the field to get it all. I wound up running 8 wheels for the rest of the first cut, I'll use all 10 on the second.
Makes a nice windrow, edges are well formed. Made it easy to adjust for the pickup width on my baler, don't need to weave anymore.
Has a rope to each wing to release the latches for lowering. So if you wanted to just lower one side, don't pull the other rope. And once the wings are down, the latches block the wings, only allowing them to raise enough to clear the hay. Gotta pull the ropes so the latches get out of the way to raise all the way to transport position. The kicker wheel does not have a latch, you do have to pin it up.
Parts...it's a v rake. Some bearings in the wheels, couple hydraulic cylinders, not much to go wrong with them.
I'm sure it won't have the resale value a major brand would bring, but it didn't cost as much up front either.
All this is probably old news for you guys running better rakes, but I'm happy with it. It's a lot better/faster than what I was used to.
