Equipment cylinder

I have a Oliver equipment cylinder that has blown out the front seal. I find the number HD 66 29 on it. It has the valve mounted on it to limit stroke. Probably was used on a plough. I assume its as old as my 1954 super 55 since it came with it. The rod end eyelet is welded on and looks factory. I have removed the valve and try unthreatening the end cap but all it does is turn. I see no means of a keeper holding it in place. Can someone give me some insight?

Mr. Schwiebert: I took a brass punch and tapped the end cap it. It revealed the keeper ring. I ran to Kalamazoo this afternoon to a cylinder repair shop and they supplied me all the seals and I rings needed. Ill probably put it back together tomorrow. They warned me about sealing up the return pipe print area being difficult to seal and said I need to touch up the inner diameter with emery.
