...in the post pages, say page 1531, and look at some of the posts from days gone by? Lots of gold in that there mine! Kind of like an old friend looking through the ancient posts and seeing some of the old crowd like Dunk that has passed on and Dell who disappeared and of course Hobo was in there and still is here. Of course the fellow with the confused mind where what he writes and attempts to say comes out like a very mixed up fairy tale at times, John, Pa is, I think, his handle. Strange writing on some of those posts, sort of like cryptic stuff...still kind of gives me the willies to read his stuff...lol
I guess the main point is that so many of the fellows on here for a long time have taken so much time out of their lives to help us keep these old N gals a runnin'. Thanks to all of 'em.

Not quite as oldtimer as some you mentioned but after retiring I tried using the time to hang out at the local watering holes where the ladies congregate. I quickly discovered it is hard to sell 60+ year old sausage so I decided to continue hanging out around here where I have slightly more to offer and the clientele is more forgiving

TOH

The sad part is that Modern view will only take you back to 2007 or so.
The board started in 1997 so it goes a loooong way back.
I didn't come till 01. Dell was there, Old, Bob, Paul, Jim UT, John Smith and all the guys who split off and started NTC were still here.
TOTG and Llamas were still around when I came but they've gone to their rest now.

I knew tOTG had lost his battle but didn't know Llamas was no longer with us...

Didn't know that either.
Somewhere I've got an old printout of his way to install points & set timing on a front mount via the work bench.

Should be a little easier now that I've got TOH set tool!

I couldn't remember for sure when it started but my date shows 98. It had been here for a while before we had to "register" a username.

I know I've sure had a lotta birthdays since then! :D

Classic view search still goes back to near the beginning. I just brought up some threads that I posted in from 1998. Seems like just the other day.

Along about that time it was hard to find good usable "REPAIR" info other than what was in the manual are I was the first to ever run up on the issues I was facing... About all you could get was a pattern answer,,, other than Zane are John Smith and maybe a few others you were own your own...

There's a hand full of guys here that I think the world of they know who they are...

This was in my fortune cookie last nite...

I started out 12 years ago as weekNwarrior as I was still in the
Guard at the time. I miss Dunk and Dell. They say Dell is still
kicking. Wish he would check in.

Thanks Hobo,

I've been enjoying my temp gauge running from the new head
with the raised boss that you had instructions for installing.

It been about 3 or 4 years now and I've done a sheet load of
work with that 2N.
Never realized how much that thing can do with live
Hydraulics, position control and hyd top link.

Thanks again,

Greg

Thanks for your live hydraulics.
I love cranking it up and have the implements ready to lift!
Like the remote ports too.
It has been about 3 years and it has been great!
Thanks,

Greg
