F-12 fuel system part

I have a 37 F-12 donor tractor with this fuel system part, it was originally a distillate model. It appears that the fuel pump feeds this part and there is one smaller line that goes to the carburetor and a larger line that goes to a T in the supply line running to the fuel pump. I have parts of 3 other F-12's and F-14's none of them have this part. Wondering if this was just part of the distillate system or some other purpose. I am open to any suggestions.

On distillant models, this part is found. It has two purposes, one to be a pressure relief for the fuel system and in some cases people would use it to purge the system should the tractor have been turned off in distillate model rather than gas.

F-12/14 with gas only systems have a TEE at the top of the fuel take to act as a pressure relief so that carburetor didn't flood. It works great, but on Distillant systems where there were two tanks, one for the distillate and another for gas, it would mean that the gas would be pumped up and the excess would be dumped in to the distillate tank. So they put this unit on to recycle the same fuel back into the system just before the fuel pump. It had to be above all the tanks and carb to work.

And if you bypass the "fuel line vent" as its called in the parts book the mechanical fuel pump will quickly overcome the ability of the needle and seat in the carb and flood the engine. The fuel line vent (kerosene) or the reflow tee (gas) must be used for proper operation.

My 14 has the tee and its a kerosene tractor, however I have the small gas tank on the hood. Just open the valve on the main tank and shut off the valve on the starting tank.
