F12 rear steel

I ve got an f12 I m going to drag out and get running and I ve got a couple of choices for rear steel as the rubber rims are junk, it s got a lodge spoked single front. These are my options, the ones with the flat plates I ve seen before, the ones with the offset cast cleats are new to me, any idea on what their purpose was?

Thanks for the offer but I want steel to match my 14 20 & 30, just wondering which set to go with, thinking maybe the cast lug set are off of an Oliver maybe?

You better measure the axle holes. The F-
12s had a 2 5/8's diameter axle. And they
didn't quit making steel wheels when they
quit making the F 12s/14s. They made steel
wheels for the letter series too. And the
H's had a 2 1/2 inch axle. And the M's had
a 2 3/4 inch axle. The F-12s falling right
in between those at 2 and 5/8s.

The pair of wheels that have the offset
caste lugs appear to me to be steel for an
H or an M. If they have 14 spokes and for a
2 1/2 inch axle, those are H wheels. If
they have 16 spokes and for a 2 3/4 inch
axle, those are for an M.

The ones with flat plates are for sure from
an earlier era than the H's and M's. They
could for an F-12. But I'm not positive on
that, but I think it's probably likely.

What ever you do, measure the axle hole.
The flat plate ones, you should be able to
measure the side of the hole that don't
spread. The offset caste pair with the half
moon axle clamp, are a little harder to
measure. The half moon clamp doesn't clamp
solid tight to the other part of the wheel
when installed. But if you measure across
the half hole (opposite of the way the
bolts go) you should be able to measure
close enough to determine what size axle
they fit.

M wheels will somewhat fit. But they won't
fit good enough. And you don't want M
wheels on your F-12 for that reason. If
they are M wheels, they are worth a whole
lot more than F-12 wheels. M steel is
harder to find. H wheels just simply won't
fit an F-12. But I have heard of some
people trying to put F-12 wheels on an H.
They of course didn't fit right, like the
M's trying to be placed on an F-12.

I'm thinking the one set (flat plate lugs)
are likely F-12s. The other set likely for
an H or an M. About all I can tell ya from
the photos at hand.
