Looking for a good f550r block for my G, anyone have anything theyd be willing to part with by chance? or know anyplace to check out?

Thanks

Sir, May be too far for you to consider but, I had a late G that I bought and after I got it up and running after it set in barn for many years it developed a coolant leak under block. Closer inspection I found the bottom of block had a frost bite that cracked bottom of block. Engine ran good and did not leak coolant into engine just on the ground. I removed block and cast iron JD pistons and replaced it with another I had at the time. The block I removed did not show hardly any wear and had .045 oversize JD cast pistons. I know for a fact a engine machine shop here in central Iowa can fix the crack in water jacket crack and you will never see where they repaired it when done. They been welding heads / blocks and castings for over 50 years. I do not have a need for it so I never invested the money to repair it. If I needed a block I would not be concerned and would have it repaired by this shop. If you are interested make me an offer. Located in Eastern Iowa.
