How close would the seat bolt pattern for a 1997 F800 be to the seats for 99-16 Super Duty's? My F800 has a bench seat in it and it's pretty worn out. I've thought about trying to fit seats from a Super Duty into it. Just wondering if the bolt holes match, come close to matching or would require drilling new holes for this to work.

Someone may know better than me, but I don't think they would be even close. I also remember the F600s and up having higher benches than a pickup. I'm sure you could make it work though.

Thanks. That's kind of what I expected.

Finally found a decent seat to replace the one in my '95 F800. The seat from an 08 super duty had a nearly Identical bolt pattern: it was just 6" wider than the '95. Made 4 adapter brackets from 1/8x2 steel plate and some 7/16 carriage bolts. Entire process took like 2 hours and was 100% worth the upgrade.
The adapters have 1/2" holes drilled 3" apart, then a carriage bolt pressed into one hole.

Interesting idea. I'll consider that. Thanks.

Just put air seats in it from a semi.they bolt to the floor so no need to match the old holes just put a plate on the floor to bolt to and fasten it to the floor so it doesn't wiggle the floor out at the bolt holes. Much better seats than a bench seat.

Agree, but it's not a flat floor in the F800 cab. The cab floor is raised under the seat.

I might be able to make a low profile air base work though.

Also, no air compressor on the engine, so I'd have to get a 12 volt compressor too.

Not saying it wouldn't work though, just trying to think through options.

As you have found they make both a low base profile for seats and then the higher set up. Just set the seat on a 3/8 plate then with it set in there adjust it for levelness and height put a reinforcing piece under each side and bolt down. The plate could be welded to an angle running along the floor on each side for a leveling device. Holes drilled to fit outside end brackets and then just the inside to work out.

You might be able to use the seat tracks from the '97 , that way it'll fit the floor the bolt the new seat to them.
the tracks used to bolt to the seat , I don't know if yours do.

Do you mean a 97 pickup or bigger truck?
I'm thinking your seat tracks that fit your truck. They might be bolted to your seat.
If so the newer seat might be able to attach to your existing seat tracks.
I've done that to older models I'm not sure of the newer ones.

Ok, got it. That might work. Thanks.
