Fake Blue-Point tools?

Hey guys,
I bought a set of Blue-Point wrenches off of ebay. They kind of look fake to me. They have a matte finish but the only thing I can find like them on Snap-On's website are chrome. I haven't found anything like them except on Ebay. I posted a picture of the 11/16's on here for a reference. Let me know what you think.

I have a set of matte finish Blue Point combination wrenches in metric. They are the real deal, and I like them almost as well as polished SnapOn. I like SnapOn wrenches, sockets and ratchets; the rest of their line I am not overly familiar with. They do have good torque wrenches though.

I am also happy using, Craftsman, Mac, Matco etc. Especially the old Craftsman wrenches.

Back in the late 70's snap-on cheap line was Par-X they were not pretty they were dull and had a somewhat unfinished nickle look to them... Best I remember the warranty was they would replace it with a snap-on BUT you had to pay 50% of the original cost of the snap-on tool...

That ended my purchase of snap-on cheap line of tools no matter what they called them..

That looks like something Snap-on made; it's got the real thin beam that will slice your fingers off if you really pull on it. Job I had in '74, guy was 100% Snap-on, that was when I developed my distaste for their wrenches. I had to double a shop rag to put over the beam to protect my hand. Much prefer thicker beams to spread the load.

Snap-on does make good sockets and ratchets, but the wrenches, not so much.

Same here, nothing like an old S-K or Thorsen wrench.

Blue point has always been something made not by Snapon, and rebadged, and used to have a poor warantee.. These days they are most likely made for Snapon in China. I have been away from tool trucks for 20 years, but in January started a job where Snapon shows up. The new Blue Point is cheaper but carries a full replacement warantee like the real thing.

I have a couple. GM used to buy they in the factories. Usually, wouldn't spring for the chrome. Less theft also.
