fargo dumper wagon

hi everyone,
need to pick your brain. we had an accident with one of our fargo dumper wagons. the front cylinder came unhitched at the top and fell on the pavement while coming back to the farm. there's a tiny dent in the barrel but enough so that the piston rod does not extend. cylinder people here can't fix it reasonable ($4000). went looking on all the farm related pubs and could not find a single fargo. lots of richardtons. salvage yards don't seem to have any as well. anyone know of a fargo 8000 series that has a good front cylinder for sale?

Check Surplus Center. They may have one that you can use.

Don't search by application search by dimension your possibilities will increase dramatically. You can even change your dimension by moving the attach point on the roof a little.

I'd imagine the cylinder shop will have to machine a whole new barrel for the cylinder. I can see where that would cost $4000.

For dimensions you need to know the closed length, eye center-to-center, the stroke, and the diameter of the cylinder bore. Odds are not in your favor of finding something generic that's an exact match. For some reason implement manufacturers insist on designing custom cylinders for all their machines, instead of designing the machines around readily available standard cylinders.

If it's a side dump wagon with cylinders front and back, you will need to replace both cylinders if you can't find something that exactly matches the original. Maybe you can find another brand wagon that's worn out but has similar cylinders and adapt them?
