Farm wagon rims

Drug in a farm wagon from the woods. How do you tell what rims will fit it. They are 5 lug. 3 rims look the same 2 of them have 16? tires and 1 has 16.5. It has one rim that is different from the others but is 16. Just wondering how to determine what wheels would fit if I decide to get rims that are in better shape.

A circle that crosses the center of each lug bolt defines the Bolt circle. 5 on X where X is the bolt circle diameter, will find the size. For example: Ford 5 bolt truck are 5 X 5-1/2. Jim

Sometimes you also need to know the center hole diameter of the wheel as some hubs were different sizes.

John Deere D. Don?t know what caused it to get hot but the fan, water pump and alt do not turn with the engine running now. Got to get it out of the weather and then see about trouble shooting the fan shaft. I am capable of making the repair but my manual is not to specific about removal of the shaft. My tractor has power steering making it a little more complicated. There is a man who lives in the next county who has several jd 2 cyl. I may pay him a visit before I start yanking stuff off.

And most but not near all wagon wheels are 5 x 5.5(old Ford truck size)But the center hole can be anything,just check. You did bring up one scary thing,the 16.5 would be a real a oddball. I have seen 16.5 tires on 16 inch rims,that is an accident just waiting to take your head off.

I have rebuilt several running gears over the past 11 years and found wheels to be standard among a variety of gear manufacturers. Either the 6" wide or the 8" wide wheel offers easy to find tires at reasonable prices. As a suggestion you can use 15"x6"(width of the wheel)5-bolt wheel or 15"x8" 5-bolt wheel. Both have a 4" diameter center hole. I have used both but with my parade wagons I prefer the 15"x6" wheel because the tires are less expensive.
