Farmall 140 Production Question

Have been researching the Plant Production and Shipment Reports for the Louisville Works online for the yearly Farmall 140 production numbers. Noticed that the numbers are broken out for most of the early years (1958 - 1968) by Gas, Kero, and Modif (assuming that is an abbreviation for Modified). Curious to know what configurations and special models would fall under Modified production.

I didn’t know they had models other then gas by the time they were building the 140. I know there were diesel versions of other tractors in other countries. French super c for example.

I'd imagine that "skid units" would fall under that category. They were shipped on a skid (pallet) with no wheels or tires, no drawbar or fast hitch, even no front end(?).

140s were used as the power units in Trac-Paver brand pavers, those HoneyBee "reversed" loaders in later years, and converted into forklifts just to name a few applications of a skid unit. Not sure if Chisholm-Ryder ever used a 140 for anything. They were big consumers of IH skid unit tractors.
