Farmall 140 Serial number needed

I need a Farmall 140 transmission bell housing with a serial number plate that falls in the 1961-62 manufacture date range. I have a 140 high clear I want to restore somebody at some point put a Super A bell housing on for the Lord only knows what reason. Any help is appreciated.

You might try Burch Tractor Store in
Burlington NC. They have a bunch of
1 row Farmall parts new and used.I
don't know where you're located at
though.

Because folks just swap bell housings for giggles... #1 main reason bell housings get swapped on these tractors is because they get cracked in half because of abuse. It wasn't like some guys got drunk one night and thought it would be a great prank.

Also, if there is a serial tag on that bell housing it is NOT for a Super A. The serial tag on a Super A is on the left seat support.

The 140 serial number is on a plate located on the engine just below the distributor, not the bell housing.
