Farmall 240

looking for opinions on a Farmall 240. it is for sale and they are asking 1200.00 obo. Tractor runs good, has a recent valve job, fenders, 2pt, wide front end decent tires and a drawbar.
is it worth the money?

Sounds cheap enough to me, if it runs and no obvious major problems. I don't need one, but if it were close, I'd consider buying it to go along with my 240U.

Is the tin straight? How about the paint? Has it been kept inside or out in the weather? Obo means they expect a lower offer. Seeing the price some of these units have sold for on auction, I would start at no more than about $900.00 unless it looks bad then I would go less. Restoration will cost you several thousand.
