The bearing thats in it now is a federal brand 1304-RR...the local bearing store says he has a 6304...he said some brands use a 1304 as a different type..he said it looks like a 6304 ball bearing...i cant find the number in parts diagram
whatcha think.....dewy

Get a sealed bearing. No way to lube in tractor. Think the 6300 bearing series work if right number for sealed ball bearing. ST 575 is still available from dealer.

Thanks red... he had one but metal front had a dent in it...asked if he had another one..he did but it has the rubber cover or front would that matter....thanks dewy

In the clutch pilot location, the steel shield is not needed. the rubber is just fine. If it were exposed to brush or winding string, the shield would be needed. The bearing size is very common, and thus found with many seal options, including no seal. Jim

if you match up a sealed new brg. to the old one just remove the seal. those rubber seals come out very easy with a pick starting in the centre just pop it out.
