Farmall 300 utility remotes?

I have a friend that has a Farmall 300 utility and was wondering if he would be able to add a set of remote hydraulic ports to operate a cylinder/ cylinders for some equipment. He has hydraulic two point/fast hitch already on the tractor. I have seen some hydraulic blocks/ manifolds? on ebay and was wondering if i could buy a set of those and just bolt them to his current set up and make it work that way? Then add some hoses and quick connects to the blocks.
Would this work?
Not experienced with my Farmalls very well.

It isn't the handiest thing but what I did to run my loader bucket off the hitch valve was to put a set of quick couplers on the hitch lines right at the block. When I need to use the loader I pin the hitch lift arms to the frame mounts, retract the cylinder (to push as much oil into the small reservoir as possible) and uncouple it, then pop in the loader bucket couplers. Mine is a 350 row-crop but I assume the utility version has places on the frame for the hitch lift arms too. Doing this takes the load off the cylinder and prevents it from drifting down. The two downsides to doing this is that you temporarily loose the ability to adjust the hitch height and the messiness that comes with swapping hoses around. Some selector valves would solve the mess problem and may allow you to just keep the hitch on the cylinder as well since it would be quick and easy to re-position it.

Unless I am missing something, no where did you mention a loader. On my 300U, which I just moved out to a property we own where it is fast becoming one of my favorite tractors, I have a 2 pt fast hitch operated by one valve and a set of remotes operated by another valve. I do have a loader but have never put it on the tractor and have no plans to. Very versatile tractor as configured.

He really like the tractor, not to mention his father bought it brand new. I would like to help him out on this, do you have any pictures? I have no idea what to do with it. i am much more familiar with John Deeres. He plans to use a hydraulic cylinder on his disk, mower and other small items if we can get something made up for him.

If it is a farmall,it is not a utility.If it is a utility,it is an international.And if it is a utility,your fast hitch is controlled by the valve beside the seat.Your remote blocks would bolt to the side of the reservoir just ahead of the rear valve.There should be plugs,or a plate to remove so you can add the control blocks;they stack-side by side and you would have to run lines to the rear.My 300u came with a 34u loader and was set up to couple the hoses on each side.So,what I did was to make extension hoses and run them to the rear for remotes.Also there is 9/16 nut type of a deal with a roll pin thru it and the letters S & D = single acting or double acting:your rear valve will be set to D which means your cylinder powers both ways;on S it powers on way and floats the other.Mark

The system I described to operate the loader bucket would work the same way for a remote cylinder application as well. I didn't mean to infer that a loader was involved in the case at hand.
