Matt,

Do you have the black 300 that runs at Trout Run in PA? If so, I saw that tractor run there last year in April and thought it ran pretty good. Where are you guys out of? Any chance of getting you down to Washingtonville for the Danville FFA pull on April 25 the day before the Trout Run pull?

Rules from 2008 can be found at www.mafmca.com. there have been a few minor changes, but nothing that effects most tractors - e-mail me if you want me to send you the word document for the rules. RPM's are unlimited, but over 20% requires a scatter blanket. There are some C's that push some serious RPM's in the light classes. Every other class is paced. Example: 4,000 is pace, 4500 is no-pace, 5,000 is pace, 5500 is no-pace. There are cut tire and uncut tire divisions - I'd assume your 300 would be in with the cut tires. For the cut tires, anything under 6500 is a 15.5x38 tire I believe. For the FFA pull we allow any cuts on the tire as long as they are the right size to allow more people the opportunity to pull from out of the area. Traditionally, a cut tire in our area is just a tapered cleat.

You'd have to give me some details on your JD's to see if we'd have classes for them - I only remember the 300 from the pull I went to, and I probably left after the 5,500lb class or so. I'd sure think the 300 would fit right in with the other tractors that pull light from what I saw of it.

If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks!

Mike
