Farmall 350

I recently bought a 350 gas row crop. It runs great but the throttle doesn't react until you get over on the tenth notch on the throttle! I'm guessing the govenor is worn? Any help will be appreciated

Our 350D has a semi-loose throttle lever.
Main problem is in the pin which turns the rod
going down under the hood. It is a 1/8" solid pin
which wears with age & use. A new pin will tighten
things up, but if no success doing that, drill both
holes to the next bigger size of roll pin.

Not to worry. IH tractors do that normally. If the wide open RPM is OK, living with the issue is way normal. Experiment this way. Push the lever forward so the disk clears the serrated bracket near the bottom. now pull it down past the lower limit. If the engine speeds up, the linkage needs adjustment if not all is as intended. If the engine does speed up, the linkage adjustment is at part 13 in the link. IIRC. Jim
