Farmall 400 oil

I got my pto to work on my Farmall 400 now, it was the turn off under the tractor. When I took the bolt out to move the lever gear oil came out and kept coming is there suppose to be oil in there? I am only 16 so I am still learning about theses tractors.

That is your tranny/rear end oil. It is normal.

I hope you put the bolt back in. The hole may have ben blind once, but someone may have put a long bolt in it and burst through into the case. No issue, just put the bolt back. JimN
