WORKING ON REASSEMBLYING ENGINE. LAST NIGHT PUT NEW HEAD GASKET AND HEAD ON AND TORQUED TO SPECS. NEXT PUT VALVE TRAIN ON AND TIGHTENED THE FOUR BOLTS, BROKE ONE OFF, LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO REMOVE BROKEN BOLT. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TIGHT THOSE BOLTS NEED TO BE. THANKS.

Just standard bolt torque for 3/8th bolt, but I never torqued one in my life. Just have the feel for a non critical part. The thing you need to know is all rocker arm adjustment screws need to be back out so no strain is on shaft when bolting down. And, then, make darn sure the end rockers and middle rockers are free to move a tiny bit side ways after bolted down, as you can bind them up and cause slow closing of valves which can cause push rod problems later on. Have seen bent pushrods and broken rocker shafts on different engines from improper assembly of rocker arms assembly.
