Farmall 460 remotes.

The left, center and right remote all function double acting. Except, if you look at the picture the center one is indexed differently than the left and right one. How can this be? It has functioned this way for a
while now. But, now the center one isn't working properly all of a sudden. It will put pressure on both sides of the cylinder but my loader will not lower. Any ideas?

Have you rotated it to "D" to check if it will work (i.e. lower the loader)?

Is it possible you did not notice before and it got moved?

I have rotated the center one counter-clockwise with the engine running and all it does is pull down the engine and then it won't move up or down. No, it's been this way for quite some time. Nothing has accidentally
moved on me without me noticing it. I actually had the hoses reversed on the loader before. I switched them just so I could lift the loader up. A few times before when I'd have down pressure on the loader and go to
lift it it wouldn't lift. I'd push the lever the other way (down pressure) and then try lifting it and it would lift. It has done that to me 20-30 times and now finally it won't lift at all (or lower now because I
have the hoses reversed). Is there some way the guts in the remote can turn on the 1" or so diameter post you tun to change it from single acting to double acting? I might try pounding the roll pin out to see if it
will rotate a full turn to see what happens with it in different positions.

(quoted from post at 16:29:39 10/11/15) I just looked at the break down of those valves, something has come apart or failed internally on that valve.

That would be my guess as well - time to pull it down and investigate internally.

You need to determine if you are actually getting flow out of the ports. Until then we are just guessing. If it builds pressure when moving lever both ways, the selector inside valve has bent or end plug on valve has come unscrewed. You could just have a coupler problem not allowing fluid to flow through. Happens all the time. Some IH couplers even unscrew to allow for coupling under pressure. Have seen that more than once. One local expert brought pump in from a 450 for me to check some years ago. When listening to his explanation, he found the coupler unscrewed. Blocking flow. Some tractors have check valve installed and can block flow.

Well I think I've eliminated it possibly being a coupler problem by reversing the hoses. The loader will either not raise or not lower depending upon which way the hoses are connected. I'm building pressure when I move the lever both backwards or forward. Only get loader movement one way however.

But, pressure can open a coupler from one side and not the other and you still need to know if oil flows freely through both hoses to loader.
