Farmall 666 Flywheel

So, I finally got around to splitting the 666 to fix the TA clutch that came apart. But, I found that the main clutch was bad. The pressure plate and flywheel are damages too. So, new main clutch. I took the flywheel to get turned, but the local Fleetpride (who turns all out flywheels for work) said it couldn't be turned. Could very well be true, there is quite a bit of damage. So, I'm trying to find a good used one. Not that easy. From what I've found online, the 656 666 and 686 should take the same flywheel (for a diesel gear drive tractor). I found one for a 656, but the part number says it only fits a 656 and nothing else. Anyone have any other places I might not have though about to check? Thanks.

Welp i don't know where you live so this has and impact on where to get one from . Since the fact that they are heavy freight cost comes into play . For me my go to places for I H parts is Robert's farm equipment , Bates Corp. and Anderson's tractor parts.

That would be true for the GAS tractors, not diesel. The 656 uses a D282, the 666 uses a D312, and most 686s use a D310. Completely different engines.

The D312 is kind of a rare duck as it was only used on the 666 and early 686 tractors. Not many of these were made because most farms had grown to the point where these tractors were too small to be the main workhorses. The old 656 got relegated to hay raking duty and didn't get the hours to wear it out anymore, so there was little reason to upgrade.
