Farmall 806 front end.

How do you tell if the wide front end on a 806 is a IH or Schwartz.? I need to replace a wore out tie rod end.

The center piece that bolts the the bolster on an IH wide front is cast iron. The center of the Schwartz is welded steel.

There are at least three different aftermarket wide fronts that you'll find on an IH tractor. Schwartz, Norden, and for the life of me I can't think of the third, think it starts with a C or an O. Schwartz is the most common.
