So serial # 17000Y would be a1965 model with 12gpm hydraulic pump correct ? Would this one come without a T/A?
Found someone willing to fix 3 point lift and he says parts should not be a problem. Dam if that shop didn't want to work on it why make me wait 1 1/2 months to tell me? I hope everyone is keeping warm today. Thanks and have a good day.

Should have a suffix code of ''S'' along with the "Y" code if t was built with a TA, "Y" = 12 GPM pump.

So it is your tractor and does it have a TA now or not? In my opinion it would be very rare for a non-TA tractor to later have one installed. It could be done but I think it is very unlikely!

Probably not that they didn't want to work on it, but just didn't have the manpower, and didn't want to admit it. Seems to be a common practice among independent shops of all types. They don't want to turn down work, probably because they don't want the customers they'd have to turn away to badmouth them.
