Farmall A problem

I have a Farmall A that I took to a parade last Saturday. parade was about 3 miles long and the tractor run great until the end and then it started acting like it wasn't getting enough gas, not like it wanted to quit just hesitating as we drove back to the trailer. I took the carb off and soaked it, put a new NAPA kit in it and it runs fine but I can't hear any differential when I turn the mixture screw in or out. I really haven't gotten it as hot as the day of the parade. A friend says it might be the coil breaking down when it get hot. Right now I'm at a loss as to what might be wrong. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Start by immediately checking for spark when it dies.

Then, you will know whether to proceed with ignition system or fuel system repairs.

It may not be getting enough gas use a 1 gallon can funnel and a hose so you can set the can on the ground , pull the plug out of the bottom of the carburetor , then use one hand on the funnel with the hose in the gas can and turn the gas on with other . Time how long it takes to fill the can and watch for fuel flow and trash .

Had a similar problem on a JD70 this week. Finally found a loose wire at the battery, one that goes straight to the coil. If I remember right on my Farmall A (haven't used it in a few months) there is a similar wire between the ignition and coil.
Did you do anything with the battery, ignition, or coil recently?
