Farmall A rear mount mower

I have the chance to get a No 16A rear sickle mower and I am looking to see if anyone has a parts manual for this unit. I think it is missing some parts and want to confirm all this because it is a out of state road trip that I don't want to be wasted.

I have one of those on my BA I built a number of years ago. I use it every year to cut my hay with. Wish I had a parts manual so I could maybe help you out but I don't

If you want to buy one I suspect Binder books would have it. I bought one for the mower that goes on my F14 from them and that mower is older than the model that goes on the A.

Old do you happen to have any good pictures of it?? My fear is it looks like the wood pitman arm is missing which is no big deal but the end that bolts onto the arm which I believe is like a ball and socket that hooks up to the sickle bar I don't see that piece.Am sure that piece is not avalible

That ball end while IH may not have it as such can still be found. Many parts for the old A16 are hard to come by but there out there I know I have had to deal with that a few times. I don't remember the place but Farmall Hal who is on here at times has info on a place that has new old stock parts for them

I have a setup / parts manual for an a/c 21 which IF all else fails I could copy and send to you. See IF BENDER has a copy first since they "seem" to have a grand lot of materials.

Those pieces are universal, same on pretty much every pitman mower IH made. Lots of used ones, plus you can still get many of the parts new here:
