Farmall B Intake manifold question

On my B I just bought there is 2 small holes (1/4) in the intake just were the part comes down to the carb. When running it blows hot air out both those holes. Is it supposed to be like that or should those holes be plugged ?? Thanks for your help!

The hot air blowing out is exhaust, not air. The holes are in the exhaust manifold. They belong there.

that is some brain wave to let the rain drain out for the ones that dont cover their exhaust. that is exhaust not intake. but anyhow i have welded some of mine up cause i hate that stupid idea. put a rain cap on it or a soup can on it when done.

I didnt look that close and new it was exhaust air cause it was hot. I guess if it was in the intake it wouldnt very well if at all. Thanks guys

My cousin bought a new 730 case gas, that had a hole in the bottom edge of the muffler, in case you didnt put the soup can on the top, but it dis colored the hood, GRAY, on a pretty good sized spot !!!
