Slugger, I sent you an email. I did the other time you posted this as well, but never heard from you.

I recently rebuilt a 1949 C that had the same pistons and one of them was cracked. A local machine shop mic'd the piston and the ring grooves and came up with a brand new perfect match. You might try this if nothing else works.
