ps.. it has pretty good iol pressure but little lack of power. frront main seal went to seeping is that hard to fix? sorry for the bother.. thank you

I currently have the engine in my Cub in the shop for some work. I had no compression due to bad valve seats - knew that when I bought it. Shop guy says 2 of the cylinders were rusted badly so I'm having him put in new cylinders - there are no sleeves. I don't know what the cost is going to be but I don't think its going to be too bad all things considered. To change the front oil seal you will have to pull the front end and pull the fan belt pulley. Guys at the shop did mine - said it was tough to get off and they had the right tools for it.When you say lack of power how are you judging that. The tractor doesn't have a lot to start with. Valves are in the block and there is a lot to remove to get the block off if you do anything with the valves.Personally if it has good compression and isn't burning oil I wouldn't touch it other than the oil seal
