Farmall Cub

Did Farmall ever make a Cub with a tricycle front end. Am looking at one that the seller claims that it is a Cub. Also where is the serial# located and any other imfo that can help me identify what tractor he's selling
Thanks

no such thing, all were wide fronts. The serial number is located right behind the steering box, on the cast. (to the right of the tractor when seated)

IH didn't make one that way, so it could be about anything. Some folks mistake As for Cubs, so there's a chance that it's a B or BN. If it is and the serial number plate (with the model number on it) is still there, it will be under the seat, on the left bracket.

There are to most of our knowledge only two tricycle cubs in existence. The first was/is a really awesome two seater custom built by a guy who probably forgot more about Cubs than guys will ever know. It truly is something to see and I am looking forward to seeing it in person in the near future should I be really lucky.

The second, I have seen pics of occassionally, but it is nowhere in the league of the first one.

Did IH ever build one? The answer to that would be a resounding NO....

to John's links on All You Ever Wanted To Know about Identifying a Cub. Those two links contain a lot of information. If you want more.. hit the www button below.

Oh, if it actually is a tricycle front end, it probably is a different cultivision.. probably a A. A's are commonly confused with Cubs by the inexperienced. Guy Fay's Originality Guide would be the book to consult.
