Farmall H 9 speed trans.

Is the M&W 9 speed trans any good for pulling and how are the gear splits is 1st the sam speed or is it slower any info would be great.
Thanks Mike

High range starts at 4th low and goes up in speed. So to put gears in order; 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 1H, 2H, 3H, 4H and then 5 gear (road gear).

If I remember right the 9 speed's extra gears are between 4th gear and 5th gear (road gear). So 1st through 4th stay the same. Personally I'd use a different tractor for a puller or ditch the extra gears (if thats possible). Less overall weight=more moveable weight.
