Farmall H magneto timing question

Not sure if I have the timing set properly. I removed #1 plug rolled the motor over until I felt compression, placed a drinking straw into the plug hole to get tdc. timing marks on crank pulley lined up correctly. If facing the front of the tractor I set it at the first mark ( mark on right) set mag to fire as soon as the motor rolled over again on the first cylinder. Is that correct or should I have fired the mag and set it on the second mark (one on left). To fire on the next cylinder?

Impulse should fire AT the first mark, with rotor pointing to the #1 high-tension terminal. Check out pages 43 and 44 at the link below.
