farmall h pulling tractor

I have a 51 farmall h that I want to pull in the 3500 lb class. I want to change the front hubs wheels and tires. What I want to know what lite weight hub will fit and what wheels. Also where can I get press steel rear wheels and hubs. Thank you

For the front hubs, just get a pair of 5 lug trailer hubs at your local farm store, then measure your spindles and the hubs and order sealed bearings from your auto parts store. you will probably have to turn out the hub for at least one of the bearings. Then S10 Chevy wheels will work. no grease no mess. On the back I would weld on 1/2 plate with gussets. 9 hole of course.

I'll sell you a lightened rolling H chassis with a B single front, good tin and paint, weld on hubs and an aluminum tranny top, hitch, wheelie bars and alum weight bracket cheaper than you can mess with it..Located in MICH.

Depending on what size rear rubber you want to run, you can get them down in 3500 still with the cast on. This would be striped and around a 150lbs driver.

MM ZA/ZB hubs are a direct fit and those tractors came stock with pressed steel rims. I had a buddy of mine that put them on his Farmall H and they worked great.

I think you would have a hard time getting a 51 model H light enough to make 3500# class with the cast wheels. You would have to make a lot of custom parts with aluminun. The older the tractor the lighter, try starting with a 39-42 model H and you can get there with the cast wheels. If you get real creative you can make 3000# but not with the cast wheels. This one was 3200# with cast wheels & was 3000# with light 9 bolt wheels
