On a 1946 Farmall H, is there a way to tell if the wide front is factory or after market. the tractor looks to be to far gone to restore. Would the front end be desirable if one were to part it out. If so any estimate as to value

Look closely at pictures on this site. Any factory front will have cast bolster. After markets will most likely have steel bolster, I say most likely because I do not know of any that don't.
 
If it is an original IH wide front, the tie rods will be out in front of the big tubes. Aftermarket will have the tie rods behind the axle tubes. If indeed the wide front is an original, you might to leave it intact, and sell it that way.
