can anybody give me the circumfrence, compressed thickness, or cc's of volume added by a farmall super m/450 stock type head gasket?

gasket from I.H. is about .070 compressed .you need to dome pistons if you wan to get that hp up. Vollbrachts has them. I think this is the right one

What you are looking for is the area the gasket contains between the block and head, which is 14.959 sq in.

A Victor head gasket (steel on both sides og gasket) crushes to 0.076" which yields a volume of 1.1369 cu in or 18.63 cc

FYI- a SM and 450 (C-264 through C-281) use the same head gasket, an M (C-248) is smaller.

Fel-pro makes a steel and composite gasket that may compress more, but I have had no luck keeping them sealed, Murphy's makes a steel both sides gasket that compresses to 0.063" but has a 4.515" diameter area, I have heard good and bad about them. You can go copper, mixed reviews, or have baker o-ring your head and go gasket-less, which works very well.

The area of the head is not applicable since the combustion chamber is not a consistent shape, you need the volume, which I do not have. I think they are around 220 cc's, but each head casting was a little different so the best to do is cc your head so that you know.
