Have problem with TO Bearing, so my father-in-law (Retired) split for me to repair. I asked him to check the clutch out (since it is split) and anything less than 1/2 to replace. He said he did not know how to take clutch apart, so I handed him my IT Manual. He asked if I could post this to get better instruction and/or any suggestions that would help him. Therefore, any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

You don't have to split an M to get to the clutch and throw out bearing. You simply remove the hydraulic pump. Next disconnect the drive shaft and you are in. Simply unbolt throw out bearing and everything is right there. It takes
me about 2 hrs. to change a clutch PP, etc.

Sometimes it is still better to split it. I personally just don't function that well anymore laying on my back and wrestling with heavy objects up above my head.

if you need a clutch, call mike at steel wheel ranch, they have the clutch, disk, throwout bearing and pilot bearing as a kit for right around 200.00. cant beat the price!!! just bought one for my super m. you will have it in a couple days.

I had some leaky seals to replace anyway.

once youve got it split, Unbolt the six (i think its six) bolts holding it in and then pull it off and theres your clutch, just make sure you put it back on in the same direction

I have the entire clutch kit for $165 glennster. Did you mean with a core charge also? Just curious if ya don"t mind me asking

yup thats with the core charge, it was just a shade under 200, i dont remember the exact amount, but just the disc alone is about a hundo, so i thought under 2 bills for the whole works with the t/o and pilot bearing was a real good price!!!
