Farmall m steering stop

I swapped a narrow front steering pedestal onto a m and was wondering were the steering stops are, the tractor i took the pedestal off had no stop you could steer it all the way till the steering wheel disconnected from the steering gear, I would appreciate some pictures of a narrow front m if anyone has some thank you

Originally, one of the four bolts that hold the pedestal was a special that had a big nub on top of the bolt head. If installed in the correct position, the nub hits a spot at each limit.

Ask said it is a special Bolt. It has a special elongated head . I believe it goes into one of the front holes to be in the right position. I might even have one that I could send you.

Yep as said, one taller bolt. Goes in right front location. The taller bolt comes against a step in the casting. Sticks up about an inch. Here is a pick of my sm.

I have head of people welding that stop onto one of the bolts. Can easily tell how much height you need to do the job. About 3/4 inch should do it.

I'll bet he could stack a bunch of split lock washers under the head of that bolt and it would work just fine.
