First thanks for the valuable information contained in the archives.
I have a 47B soon to be a BN.
First question is on starters. I have just acquirred another starter and instead of using a pull rod to engage the starter it uses a PUSH Rod. Does anyone have photos of this type of starter installed so I can see the rod, its mounting brackets? Looks like I will be fabricating something and would like an idea what it is supped to look like and where its supposed to go.
Second: My flywheel does NOT have a mark like the manual indicates for TDC. Whne i turn the cran to TDC on #1 and look up through the bell housing from the bottom all I see are 3 circular dots spaced an inch or inch and half apart. Are these the timing marks? And if so when I set the timing for my mag which dot do I time to? And is there supposed to be an index mark on the bell housing for a reference as well?
I know more than two questions but any help is appreciated.
