Farmall suddenly stop will not start

My 48 cub was running noot much power but it suddenly stop and I can get to start
The governor was replaced The magnito was timed to the engine.It did not have enough power to plow but it started right up but now it does not start Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Cub done same thing, over time was loosing power till engine wouldn't run any longer. Valves were out of adjustment.

Very simple learn to trouble shoot.
#1 check that you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more at all 4 plugs.
#2 pull the carb drain pl you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in under 2 minutes
#3 it would be a good idea to check compression.

I have never worked on the flat head but compression fuel and spark. When coils fail they tend to fail when hot i.e. tractors runs for awhile then stops.

Analyze and troubleshoot. Did the tractor have good power before you replaced the governor? Valves do not suddenly go out of adjustment. Compression does not suddenly disappear. When things are drastically different after a change, it's almost always the result of the change.

I suspect that you TRIED to time the magneto to the governor, and you THINK you have the magneto timed to the governor, but you are a tooth off. Starting easily and lack of power are symptoms of retarded timing.
