Farmall Super C Fast Hitch

Will a fast hitch from a Farmall 200 work on a Super C ? The Super C is a 1953. Specifically, does the seat base have to be changed, or can it be modified? Will the remote valve work with the linkage? What else is problematic? Thanks

It should be the same. How complete is your donor? You need the seat base unless yours has the bar already. You need the bars from the touch control on both sides. There is a different drawbar. I got mine from a donor. The aux valve has a different set of lines from the pump to accommodate the valve. There is a leaver on the tree for the valve. There’s a hydraulic block with a check valve in it under the seat support. Here are some pictures that show most of it.

To make this thread a more useful reference I took a few more pictures. I was lucky to get a complete 1953 donor still on the rear end, my Super C is 1951. A lot of them in a pile are missing something.

When I got my fast hitch you could still get a Saganaw 3point that had a cylinder, not bars from the touch control. That would have been more convenient since in this part of the country 2 point equipment, especially small point equipment is mostly non existent.

I have one on my Farmall M. They are very nice. They made the top a good bit different to fit the Farmall C.

I don't think anyone makes one like this but here is a picture I saved. This is on a Farmall Super C. There is no down pressure like the Fast Hitch.

I grew up with one of these on a 200. I see everything you need but the stationary side level link that allows you to remove the bar to the left side front touch control. About the only time you need either the left side level bar or the right side (top link adjustment) front to rear level link attached to the touch control is for plowing (with a C200 plow) . All other operations will work just fine in the stationary position. I have seen at least one where a SC owner replaced the right level stationary bar with an adjustable linkage from Tractor Supply, and it actually looks more stable to me. If you want to attach a stalk cutter you might need a 3-point factory adapter (not ideal but it will work). If you want some pictures, let me know.
