Farmall super c grille

Hello. I have a farmall super c. Serial number 195589. Problem I have is the grille appears to be for a c. The hole for the cranking rod is up by the louver. Is a c and super c grille compatible? [/img:4af3197ded]

I don't know if picture will come through but I know the radiator is taller on super c but my super c has all characteristics of a super c but a c grille.

Clutch pedal looks sc with dog leg. C pedals are straight. Doesn't look like any space between gas tank and hyd unit which would signify C. Could be the pic though..

I bought a C front end half from Charlie Burgh in harmony pa. It was attached to a super C rear half , so they are out there. If your not a fussing , Id run
the wheels off of it the way it is . Still a good all around tractor ,
Id have to see it and measurements a C tank might straighten out the sheet metal lines ,but Im not that fussy to find out, and I dont know I do have a
Farmall c tank I can measure distance from bottom of tank to rear strap hole to hydraulic block for you fit hat makes sense.
I say still just run it

I never tried this, however I believe the Super C tank can be lowered to the position of a C tank. In fact, in the picture here, it appears to me that the front of the tank is already mounted in the lower position. It just needs the rear extension brackets removed to lower the back of the tank.

The reason I think this works is because the Super A and C used the same tank. After the Super C came out, the Super A used the Super C tank but it was mounted at the original Super A and C position.

You are right. The tank end closest to the steering wheel is not lined up with the mounting brackets. It sits on rubber pads. This throws the alignment of the tank and engine cover off. I ha e a true super c here and I believe that the radiator and front grill is off a c and the tank and engine cover were modified to fit it.

So the saga continues. I looked at the block and the numbers on it are 354898 r2. And 5 12 Z. I'm not sure about the first but isn't thr 5 for may 12 and z for 1954? So with that wouldn't the motor be from a super c? The radiator is a s and hood and grill is c. I think that is it. ]
