Farmall Super C Maybe

I just bought what I thought was a Super C. It seems to be a solid tractor. It has the Super C characteristics: Curved pedals, water pump, disc brakes, temperature gauge on the touch control. The date codes are "Y" 53 except for the engine which is "S" 49. I have read that a water pump could be added to a C 113. The block ends in R 069 indicating a C 113. Would you agree that it is not likely a C 123 which a Super C should have? I have read that C113 can be sleeved up to a 123? Thanks

The easiest visual for a Super C is the extra space between the crank hole and the last bar on the grill. I think all the sleeve kits for C113 are 3.125 now so they become 123 cubic inches. There are differences with the C123 block and It can take 3.25. Like @Jim Becker says the block was probably swapped with an earlier one. Good luck with it.

Has it got a Super C serial number (over 100,000)? Sounds like a Super C that had a bad motor replaced with that was available.
Thanks Jim. Yes the serial number is 167000 +.

Would there be any identifying marks on the pistons that would indicate whether the sleeves are 123 that you could see with a scope?

The block will be either be c113 or c123 based on the block number. The c-113 sleeves will be either original 3" piston or maybe 3.125 if aftermarket (thinner sleeves than original). If c123 original pistons will be 3.125 or maybe 3.25 if aftermarket. the c-123 sleeves don't fit a C-113 block. You can't tell what it is with a scope. I don't know all the differences of the blocks during the transition years between c-113 and c-123 engines in B's A's, C's Super A's Super C's 100s 200s etc.

I thought that would be the case. I know it is a C113 by the block number. Thanks for the explanation.

If I may, I would like to expand my original question. I looked at the piston tops with a borescope. I think the 113 and the 123 originally had flat top pistons. These pistons have a raised section about one inch wide running from to back. My eyes may be deceiving me; it could be a lowered section. Is this a clue that any of you know about showing what kind of rebuild it may have had? It looks either a "O" or "C" stamped in the piston.
