Hey guys I have a Farmall 130 that am just going thru and pulled dry compression test and they are all about 95psi, just rebuilt touch control and governor, new carb, manifold, electrical harness, radiator, so now that I’m at this point I’m scratching my head about the engine

Sounds to me like you are ready to put a couple squirts of oil in each cylinder -turn it over two or three times - let it set for a day - and then try to start it.

Well it was running when I started this work and just rebuilt hydraulic unit which is off tractor along with radiator, gas tank. hood, carb, intake system, so checked compression to see where it’s at, to start I’d have to put it all back together

Suggest , put it back together , change the oil and filter and run it.

Hello taroberts, welcome to YT! I would ask you what you plan to do with it? Do you need to cultivate 60 acres of vegetables or is it a parade toy? If you don’t mind an occasional puff of smoke on a restart and it doesn’t seem to burn a lot of oil then run it as was suggested.

I have a couple of acres here that is a horse set up and about all we’ve done with for 20 years is work up the arena which is 220x145 Thnx

That compression is fine. Was the throttle wide open while checking? and were all the plugs out. and finally did you crank it 6 strokes per cylinder? The key is that they are all very similar. Run it. Jim

Carb was removed and just intake and all plugs were out and cranked it till gauge ratcheting up

Run it as is. Do you know if the gauge you used is pretty good. Checking that might eas your mind, but it is not bad compression. Jim

Got this compression tester and kit at Oriellys , got this thing pretty well stripped down so think I’ll put a coat of paint on it and put back together Thnx all for the input

If it's running well, doing the job, not smoking or using an excessive amount of oil, there's no need to spend the time or money in my opinion.

On a tractor that had been sitting, I'd expect that compression number to come up with some use and heat cycles.
