farmerized 8n

Gosh,It even comes with a (REVISED) operators manual, that would be much needed with that tractor! LOL

From time to time I see them around here in northern New England, but that one sure takes the cake. You kind of wonder what some people are trying to accomplish. Thses poor old machines were only rated at 20 HP and not 40 or 50.

That's what "Fair" condition means? I guess the one I'm fixing up must have been "Near Perfect" condition then.

I was wondering where the sprocket to my bicycle when too. I thought the scrappers took it. little did I know he was using it for steering.
That thing looks pretty bad, so when are you picking it up?

I called earlier. No answer. No call back. I'm interested to find out why they did that to it.

It looks like it would pass an emissions test. I've never seen someone desire to put a cat. converter on something. Odd.

I'm guessing that's a power steering "conversion" what with the PS pump driven off the front crank pulley (not hooked up).

The cat on the exhaust is the clincher, and the water pipe/valve doing God-knows-what. Maybe it has been converted to a closed-loop MegaSquirt injection and has a lambda probe upstream of the cat....

Edit: never mind. I just noticed the farmer-stick-welding on the steering column/bike sprocket. Ugh.
