Will a fast hitch from a 400 fit my 350?
I have a chance to get a 'free' fast
hitch from a junk 400.Like to have a
fast hitch tractor on the the place.The
350 is a drabar tractor,I have several 3
point tractors.Just want a fast hitch
tractor.

I believe the 400 rear end is 2 wider so you might have to make some adapter plates or something to fill in the gap.

Wider by two inches and the center mount has a different bolt pattern.

Delta I posted pretty much the same question recently for a 300 and the replies I received said that I'd have to stay with the 300/350 and maybe 460 models on account of the 400 size and larger tractors have a wider mounting point for the fast hitch.

NO , a 400 is a large frame like the M up thru the 560 and the 300-thru 460 is a small frame So a fast hitch from a 460 will work .

Even if both type fast hitch are not time period correct, two types could be on the 400. If free go for it in case you need extra parts when you find one. Some parts of the hitches will work on both a 400 and a 350 from the same type hitch. Hydraulic cylinders. Main frame, sockets and lift links are some. Top shaft lift links attach to on the type with traction control. Pictures of a 300 and 350 type.
