Hi folks after a little advice please.

Since carrying out a rebuild and clean on the carb I’ve got a lot faster idle than before. I believe the engine is running well and carb is set up correctly
I didn’t touch or adjust any of the governor linkage at all so can’t understand why it’s idling faster than it used to. Also the throttle lever does not go as far back (up) as it did before.

Can anyone explain How I adjust it please ?
I have seen that John UK used to email out procedures for repair, if anyone has anything on throttle idle adjustment they could send over that would be great.
Thanks
Dan

You rebuilt and cleaned the carburetor and now the throttle lever doesn't go to the top. You changed something. Could you have put the throttle plate in backwards? Take the throttle link off the carburetor and hold the throttle at the carburetor against the stop and see if it will idle down. That will point you to the problem area.
Let us know what you found.

rebuilt and cleaned but had a new throttle body, all correctly fitted but might be a bigger linkage and not traveling as far.
Thanks for the advice, need to investigate in the morning
