HOW CAN I GET A GEAR OR WHAT CAN I DO ON A FARMALL M ? REALLY WANT A 1.5 GEAR , 1 ST IS TO LOW AND SECOND IN A LITTLE TO HIGH , SO WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THAT 1.5 GEAR I WANT

What size tires are you running? The obvious and easiest way to get more speed is to put on taller tires.

A more difficult way is to swap in the W6 ring and pinion (or swap in entire W6 rear end). This will only increase your speed by a little over 6% though. If you did this and added taller tires, you might get to where you want to be.

Custom gears would be tough since the 1st sliding gear is also used for reverse, and the 1st driving gear is a compound gear with 2nd. It could end up being a very expensive option.

All that being said, your best option might be to build a little more snort into the engine and run in 2nd gear.

I think you will find a sm gear is 17% faster then a old stock m.
