fence row plow

A friend of mine inherited some old farm equipment including a 4 bottom 14 inch IH 2 point hitch semi mounted plow. Think of it as a fence row implement. It is rusty and has not been used for many years. It shows very little wear and is complete. It is destined for the scrap yard to clean up the area. My friend says it is a freebie if I want it.

Over the years, I have rescued several tractors and plows from the fence row that still had life in them just needing a lot of TLC. My age is forcing me to stop administering TLC to old iron and downsize my collection.

However, I am going to rescue this plow from the scrap man and see if I can find someone who is looking for such a plow to fix up and use or show.

Any takers who want to preserve it? I live near Peoria, Il.

I see a similar but barn fresh plow advertised in the photo ads by Mike in Sherrill, IA for $750. I think I should get this fence row plow picked up out of the weeds and further inspected.

My investment in it will be a 40 mile round trip with my loader tractor and wagon. I will post pictures and then entertain best offer over $100.

I can't use that, but just a thought.. if it has colters remove and sell.
Also, torch off the fast hitch mounts as long as practicle and sell.
Both of these will ship USPS
I might be interested if you wind up going this route

My interest in old fence row tractors and plows has been to preserve them and return them to being operational. Some people rescue dogs and cat. As a hobby, I rescue old tractors and plows and repair them to where they are too good to be only useable for parts.

Sadly, I walk away from old fence row farm equipment that is only good for parts. For parts tractors and certain other machinery, I may post a notice for others to pursue.

This plow looks to easily be made operational so I am looking for a home for it.

I have an uncle that would be interested in it and he is only in Toledo, IL. I can not send you a message, please message me and let me know if it is still available as I am not on here very often.

There was some confusion as to who owns the plow. My friend thought that he inherited it. Turns out it belongs to the person who bought the land.

I am attempting to contact the owner and find out if it is for sale and the details. I will keep the phone number that you gave me and let you know the status of the plow. I don't want to keep it so would sell it as is if I buy it.
