fender preference

First tractor I have had with fuel tank fenders. Maybe its the 100 MPH paint job, but I do not like the look of fuel tank fenders compared to conventional. I would guess there are more people that prefer a nice straight set of flat tops over the fuel tank fenders? Am planning on redoing this tractor at some point , and I plan on getting rid of these ugly fenders for sure, along with the wrong colour of red and white!

I think it depends on what the intended use for the tractor will be. Personally, I prefer the fuel tank fenders.

The fuel tanks make them look bigger. My nephew has them on his 1850. It looks bigger than my 1850. Something like 2050, 2150, 2255 doesn't look right without them. Any smaller model looks kind of clumsy with them, but I wouldn't find any fault if anybody wants to put them on.

I remember seeing ads for them in Farm Journal and places like that, telling the total capacity with them and wondering how anybody could afford to fill them every day. That was more fuel than we used in our two plow tractors all spring.

I'm more of a keep the tractor as it was shipped kind of person, to match the build card. I don't get the impression you're going to be working it, so I don't think you'd have a need for the fuel, so of course do what you'd like. I'm sure you could find someone who could use the fenders in your neck of the woods.

Wish we were closer. I would love to trade the flat fenders on my Cockshutt 1755 for your tank fenders

I don’t like the looks of the fender tanks either, just too bulky for my taste.
I guess if you need the extra fuel though, looks takes second place.
I think now most of the appeal for fender tanks is they are kind of rare and unusual, which is why some people want them.
